Thunderhill Raceway Park is a permanent road course, located around 7 miles west of Willows, California. Planning for the circuit commenced in 1987, and it took size years to be completed, opening for the first time in 1993. Looking at the layout, it is a fast series of twists and turns with some minor elevation changes. Thunderhill hosts a large number of events, for cars and motorcycles. The SCCA uses Thunderhill for its automotive race competitions. The Northern California Chapter of the AFM runs several motorcycle races there every year. Looking at the layout, the track is just over 3 Miles long, with 15 corners. The organisers can also configure the track in several different layouts depending on the vehicle and series which are using the facility.
