The Salzburgring is a 4.2KM permanent circuit, located in the mountains east of Salzburg. Opening in the 1960′s, the layout has remained the same, with limited land available due to the location. Looking at the layout of the track, it doesn’t look very challenging, however it is very high speed! To visualise the layout imagine a hockey stick, and you will get quite close! With two long straights plus the sweeping and fast “Fahrerlagerkurve” (“paddock turn”) at the bottom, and the narrow “Nockstein-Kehre” on the top, it has a reputation for being fast and enjoyable to drive. Access to the circuit is good, it’s just over 10KM from the Salzburg Airport.
