Rudskogen Motorsenter is a motorsport facility, located in Norway. Opening in 1990, the track is the oldest race track in Norway, which has been beneficial, because they have obtained Government funding for improvements to be made to the main track. Currently the main circuit is 1.9KM, and is considered challenging due to the gradient changes and the technical nature of the layout. As a result of the Government funding, the main track is being redesigned by Hermann Tilke, who has also designed most of the modern Formula 1 tracks. The plan for the track is to increase the layout to 4.6KM, which will also produce three separate loops, enabling the use of several different layouts. Once the expansion is complete, the venue should be certified for Formula 1 testing.
