Rowrah kart circuit, also known as Cumbria Kart Racing Club, is one of the most unique circuits in the UK. The circuit is located in Cumbria near Whitehaven and offers drivers the most unusual driving sensation as the whole track is laid at the bottom of a disused quarry. Rowrah is an all round fantastic race venue with its heavily improved facilities and the best spectator viewing in the country coming from the high walls of the quarry, enabling full circuit lookout. The natural undulations of the quarry floor has meant the circuit has steep gradient changes and very unique corners which produces spectacular and unpredictable races. Rowrah has been run by true karting enthusiasts for many years and together they have maintained its status as one of the most widely used kart circuits in the country. Over the years the circuit has held all types of karting events including club racing, Super 1, Easykart Championsip, “O” plates, Formula Kart Stars and more. The circuit has consistently remained as one of the UK’s best and it is difficult to the British Championship not having an event here.
