The Ordos International Circuit is a brand new race facility, built near Ordos, China. Opening in 2010, the venue has a 3.7KM track, an off road driving facility which will be used by Rally raid cars and Motocross bikes. Planned racing to be held at the track include the Superleague Formula, Chinese Touring Car Championship and the Scirocco Cup China. Looking at the layout of the track, it looks quite different from all the other tracks in China. Turn 1 looks very similar to T1 at the Shanghai International Circuit, a long right handed corner, followed by a sharp left. The track has received funding and support from the Government, meaning the venue has been designed to extremely high standards. At the moment the track has achieved FIA Grade 2 standard, with an area marked out should they want to expand to host Formula 1.
