The Norisring is a street circuit in Nuremberg, Germany. It’s used once a year for the DTM/F3 Euro Series event, and has been in use since around 1947 in a number of different configurations. It’s become one of the most popular DTM races of the year, having a similar (albeit a little bit less glamourous!) feel to Monaco. That’s due to the close proximety of the barriers, as well as the lake near the circuit. Looking at the track it’s very short, measuring just 2.3KM. Essentially it’s a mixture of some fast straights and hairpins, with a chicane in the middle – although it’s more challenging to drive than it sounds. Huge crowds turn up for the event each year, because you’re able to get really close to the action and viewing from the grandstands is really good.
