The Newcastle Kart Track in Australia is a permanent International Kart track. Formed in 1959, the club has been at the current venue for well over 30 years. The track undertook a major reconstruction in 1998, at a cost of $1 Million, which immediately made the track one of the best Karting circuits in Australia. Today’s circuit is 1058M long, has 13 corners and the longest straight measuring 160M. It’s one of the few tracks in the world to have two start grids, allowing a total of 80 Karts to line up. If you’re racing at the track, it’s awesome to drive. Turn one is your best opportunity to pass, with another good opportunity being on the entry to turn three. It’s quite high speed, into a hard braking area so plenty of room for some driver bravery!
