Mugello dates back to 1922 when the first races were held on the street circuit. The Mugello GP circuit which was started in the 50′s was a 66KM long circuit, and counted towards the World Sportscar championship. The circuit that we know today however is the track which was built in the 1970′s and today is owned by Ferrari. Mugello is today host to a round of the Moto GP championship, and is considered Valentino Rossi’s local track. The surroundings also make the track a fantastic place to visit, with the trees and countryside providing one of the best possible backgrounds for a fantastic Italian race track.
