Morgan Park Raceway is a permanent race circuit, located in Queensland, Australia. Work on planning the circuit started in 1965, building started in 1968, and the whole project was finished in 1969, with the first event being held in March. The track hosted several national events, with the main event being the October Rodeo Meeting, however in the late 80′s and early 90′s interest in the circuit diminished, and little racing took place. It took until 1997 for things to start improving, when a loan was granted and they started to work on the track surface, as well as expanding it. Since then the track has gone from strength to strength, with more expansion works taking place, and more than 20 events a year. The current track has five different configurations, all of which are used for different events. The circuit is also home to Queensland’s biggest historic motor racing festival held annually in July or August, hosted by the Historic Racing Car Club of Queensland.
