Monza is one of the most famous race circuits in the world. Situated north of Milan, the track has hosted an Italian round of the Formula 1 world championship since the 1950′s. Being one of the fastest non oval circuits in the world has also helped increase its popularity, as well as the fact it is the stomping ground of the famous Ferrari fans, the tifosi. The layout itself has changed several times since the inception in 1922 however it’s not substantially different from the original circuit. Excluding the chicanes introduced to slow down the circuit, the rough outline is similar today, proving classic circuits are just as good as modern circuits!
