Montreal has had the street circuit since 1978 when it first held a Formula 1 GP. The track is on a man made island in the St Lawrence river in Montreal. The circuit is one of the most loved on the Motorsport calender, famous for its party atmosphere, fantastic viewing and of course the Wall of Champions. It’s the final corner on the track which is a chicane, obtaining the name from the number of champions who have ended up in it! In 2007 the track also hosted a Nascar event, which is continuing due to the success. After missing the 2009 season, the Formula 1 is back in Canada, to the delight of the teams and fans. 2010 proved a fantastic race, and further cemented the place of the GP on the calendar. One of our favourite places to watch bar the final corner is the chicane before the long back straight. Overtaking is common and if anyone is going to take anyone else out, it’s going to be there!
