Once a year the streets of Melbourne partially close, to create a superb street circuit used by the Formula 1 circus. The first GP was held in the early 1950′s, with the 56 race being won by Sir Stirling Moss. In 1996 Formula 1 returned, after the contract ran out with Adelaide. As soon as they opened the gates, people loved the circuit. Fans, Drivers and mechanics have this as one of the best races of the year, the party atmosphere is fantastic, similar to Montreal. Visiting the circuit is a must, the city centre is only a couple of KM away, and more often that not, a lot of on track action can be seen!
