Martinsville Speedway is a 0.55 mile speedway circuit located south of Martinsville, in Virginia. Having been built in the late 1940′s, the circuit is one of the oldest, and the shortest on the current calender. The circuit is quite tight, but has very little banking, and just 12 degrees. Another unique feature of the track is that it had two pit lanes, due to the length of the circuit. It creates a whole new aspect to race strategy, and means that you can see the pits no matter where your sat! In 2004 the circuit was purchased by International Speedway Corp, who still own it now.
