The Mallala Motor Sport Park is a 2.6 km permanent tarmac circuit, located around 50KM north of Adelaide. Built on an old military base, the track has been in use since, and has developed into a super little club circuit. In 1964 the circuit was shortened to the current length and layout, from 3.1KM. Throughout the 1960′s the circuit was the home of Australia motorsport, and in 1977 it was taken over. The new owner totally rebuilt the circuit, and it reopened in 1982 as Mallala Motorsport Park. Originally it had a “B” class licence, but this is no longer an issue meaning the venue can hold larger events.
