The EuroSpeedway Lausitz is located in Eastern Germany, not too far from the Czech Republic. The circuit was originally desinged as a European circuit for Nascar, and has the biggest oval in europe, however it never really took off, so these days the main uses are for the DTM and Superbikes. The track itself has a total seating capacity of 120,000 and unlike most circuits, the whole track can be seen from the main grandstand. The circuit has been built to the highest safety standards of the time, however in the first few years, several fatal accidents occurred including Alex Zanardi loosing his legs which meant it has been modified slightly.
