About

The Korean International Circuit is a newly built track, located in Yeongam, South Korea. The track has been designed and built to bring Motorsport into the region, and they are scheduled to host a round of the Formula 1 championship, although at the time of writing, they are a little behind schedule! Designed and built by Bernie Ecclestones’ favourite track designer, German designer Hermann Tilke, it is one of a small number of tracks which are part permanent, part temporary, similar to Le Mans. The temporary section should run alongside the harbour, adding an element of glamour to the track. Looking at the main track it is planned to be reasonably high speed, and as one of the newer tracks, hopefully overtaking should be possible. It also joins the small group of non oval circuit which run anti clockwise.
