AutoClub Speedway is one of the newer circuits on the Nascar scene. Built in 1997, the circuit has various configurations to suit different vehicles. The main circuit is the 2 mile oval, but an infield section also means it can be used for motorcycle races, drag racing and club level car racing. Built at a cost of nearly $100 Million, the circuit is a superb facility and has gone from strength to strength, with a seating capacity of nearly 100,000. The name of the circuit changed in 2008, for an estimated cost of $60 million.
