Daytona Speedway is home to one of the biggest races on the Nascar calender. The circuit is located practically in Daytona Beach in Florida, as locations this is one of the better ones! Hosting various different events, Daytona is well known for four main events, Nascar, Indycar, 24 Hour race and Supercross. There are three different layouts for the circuit. Nascar use the oval circuit, which is 2.1 miles in length and the banking goes up to 31 degrees. The infield circuit uses part of the oval, and then cuts some of it off for a short infield section, which is quite tight and twisty. The last layout has nothing to do with the road course, which is the annual Supercross event, between the pit road and the tri oval circuit. With a seating capacity of 168,000 it is a pretty large place! On the week of the Nascar event, the circuit put on a “Speedweek” where lots of different motorsport takes place from Karting to the main event.
