Darlington Raceway is a circuit designed solely for Nascar use, and is one of the toughest circuits on the calender. One aspect stands out and differentiates this track from the rest, the two corners are totally different. One is very tight, however the other is much wider, meaning the circuit is somewhat of an “egg” shape! Looking at the story behind the track, brings to life the reason (Or supposed reason) for this, the land owner purchased just enough land to build the track, but at that end a minnow pond would have been disturbed, so it had to be smaller! The circuit received upgrades in 2005 and 2006, and usually manage to fill the stands come race day.
