The Vairano test track is an automotive safety centre which is located in Vairano, Italy. Created in 1995, it’s been designed to house car testing as as well driver training. The company that own the track also own one of Italy’s largest Motoring magazines, Quattroruote who use the track for most of the testing. Designed with vehicle testing in mind they’ve got everything needed to test every aspect of a vehicle, with a high speed course, three different layouts of the main race track available and an off road facility for testing 4×4 vehicles. Late 2009 saw some improvements made to the track, with a section of track added as well as some chicanes. One of the tracks has a watering facility meaning wet weather testing can be used whenever it’s required. Please bear in mind that this track is mainly a closed circuit, it’s not open for general testing.
