Chicagoland Speedway is a 1.5 mile oval, located in Joliet, Illinois, USA. Opening in 2001, the Speedway has become extremely popular. Visits from Indycar and NASCAR have been a resounding success, with the 75,000 seats often selling out long before race day. The track is a D-shaped oval, similar to several other of the Super Speeedways, however it differs from others in that the whole circuit is curved, making it extremely fast. As the raceway is still relatively new, and always provides good quality racing, the layout has remained the same since opening. Lights were added to the facility in 2007, allowing it to host night races.
