Charlotte Motor Speedway (formerly Lowe’s Motor Speedway) is a 1.5 mile quad oval circuit, located in Concord, North Carolina. Constructed in 1960, the circuit has been in use for NASCAR events since then, and is considered the "home of NASCAR" as a lot of the teams are based within a 50 mile radius. As well as the main oval, the circuit has several other tracks. These include a road course, a drag strip, a kart circuit and a small dirt track on the other side of the highway making it one of the best overall facilities you'll find. In 2006 the circuit had to be repaved, after the surface became dangerous and a record 22 cautions happened in a race the previous year. Seating at the circuit is good because of a massive selection, although the number of seats has decreased, because the circuit deemed they had too many.
