Autopolis is a permanent race track, located near the village of Kamitsue, in Ōita Prefecture, Japan. Opening in 1990 at a cost of $500 million, the track has been in operation since, although it has changed owners several times due to financial difficulties, it is currently owned by Kawasaki. The track hosts a range of national level motorsport events throughout the year, and has only hosted a handful of international events. Facilities at the track are excellent, and when it was built, there had been hopes that it would host a Formula 1, but this has not yet materialised due to Suzuka and Fuji competing for the event. Looking at the main track, it has several different layouts, with the main one being 4.6KM.
