The Curitiba circuit opened in 1965, and is one of the largest race tracks in Brazil. With lots of fast and medium speed corners, as well as some large bumps it provides a real challenge for the drivers. Another big feature at the circuit is the banked turns, which if used correctly can gain the drivers a lot of time, if they aren’t then they are in the wall! One of the biggest events held is the WTCC, they’ve been visiting the track for several years. Having a long straight is also a benefit to the locals, who use it as a drag strip.
