The Atlantic Motorsport Park is an all purpose permanent motorsports circuit, located near Shubenacadie, Canada. Opening in 1974, the track has been in use ever since, and the layout has remained the same. One of the unique features of the circuit is that it is owned by the members of the local motorsport clubs, and runs as a non profit circuit. Uses of the track include motorcycle racing, classic car racing, as well as track days and driving courses. Looking at the layout of the 11 turn track, it has several challenging sections. One of AMP’s greatest challenges is the downhill “dog-leg” through corners 1 and 2, followed by the roller-coaster ride through corners 4, 5 and 6. The layout means it is regarded as one of the more technically challenging tracks in Canada.
