Adelaide Street Circuit in South Australia is home to one of the best known circuits in Australia. Originally the circuit held the Australian Grand Prix from 1985-1995, and the event that occurred in 1994 is the reason the track is on the map! An incident between Michael Schumacher and Damon Hill, need we say more… Today it holds a round of the Australian V8 championship. Looking at the start complex located in the Victoria park horse racing track, you have a fast chicane which goes into a left handed corner. Grandstands at the circuit are all temporary and are taken away after the event. Murray Walker said the annual event is the best touring car meeting in the world, and visits the circuit every year. It’s a lap which is mostly made up using public roads, so it’s extremely bumpy and grip levels are unpredictable.
