Oulton Park is located in the spectacular Chesire countryside which once made up the grounds of Oulton Hall. The Hall burnt down in 1926 and the land was used as a staging camp during the war before it was developed into a race circuit. In 1953 the circuit attracted some 40,000 spectators which set the wheels in motion for an international venue to be established. The international status was reaffirmed as the circuit played host to the Gold Cup in the 1950s and 1960s where Stirling Moss won the event on 5 different occasions. The circuit is now one of several under the MSV banner which has aided its development into one of Britain's best circuits in terms of track configuration and facilities. The natural undulations in the countryside have made this a very technical yet scintillating circuit to drive, and it attracts events at the highest level of motorsport in the UK every year. Currently series like the BTCC, British F3, British GT and British Superbike Championship race here attracting crowds in the region of 35,000. Oulton Park is a true drivers circuit and this fantastic arena hosts track days for new drivers to test their ability and a unique rally stage for an alternate motorsport challenge.
