wartkops Raceway is a medium sized Motorsport facility which is located in South Africa. Planning for the track started in 1988, with years spent making sure the venue would be cost effective and viable. Construction finally finished in 2001, with the venue opening and immediately becoming one of the key Motorsport venues in South Africa. As well as the main track, they offer a host of other motorsport experiences, including 4×4 courses, Karting, skidpan and driver training. It’s a reasonably simple main layout, essentially a U shape with a few extra section to add a bit more of a challenge to the lap. They’ve got two fast corner, with the rest being reasonably slow speed. Facilities at the track are good, as to be expected from a new track. The main club house can house 200 people with catering facilities and viewing of the track. Grandstands can also be found around the venue. The paddock is spacious with plenty of room for the large events which take place. It’s mainly track days and smaller club events, but they are capable of holding International events at the track has FIA certification.
